o Examines drawings, photographs and specifications to determine job requirements.
o Marks and cuts stone using hammers, mallet and hand or pneumatic chisels.
o Spreads mortar on foundations and bricks, and places, levels and aligns bricks in mortar bed.
o Uses hand and power tools to shape, trim, carve, cut letters in and polish stone.
o Levels, aligns and embeds stone in mortar and faces brick, concrete or steel frame with stone to make and repair structures.
o Experience in similar job role for at least 2 years.
o Must be a confident communicator using all available media – Phone, Email, Social media, etc.
o Passion for exploring new role.
o Ability to work in under pressure.
o Ability to learn on the job and adapt to changes.
o Excellent written and verbal communication.
o Training in conflict resolution.
